Dr. Yes (1977)

I was watching this movie called Dr. Yes. I was for some reason expecting this to be a James Bond rip off, because of the title, but it wasn’t. Instead this movie is about a guy who has a blocked vein in his penis. He wants to please his wife, but he can’t, so he goes out to find a guy who can please her for him. He ends up where else, but the sperm bank! He hires this guy to come have sex with his wife the next day. The guy shows up and a pretty hot sex scene ensues. During their sexual escapades, the husband gets a phone call from the doctor saying the vein transplant is ready, and he must get there immediately. He leaves his wife a note, and takes off for the hospital. The surgery is precarious, but he pulls through, and only time will tell if the operation has been a success. His wife shows up, but the doctor sends her home. She has a threesome with two other women during this time period. The doctor takes the bandages off the husband’s penis, and everything seems normal, but she must test it to make sure it “functions” correctly. Well guess what it does! He then heads home to his wife, to finally pleasure her. When he opens the door there are four women with their butts up in the air and a candle in their behind, and they sing him a song! And everything ends happily ever after. Don’t you wish your wife and her friends were this nice?

Roomates (1980)

This gay porn starring Kip Noll is a bit creepy. The premise is that this guy is looking at his high school senior year book and remembering back on the guy he had a crush on (Kip Noll). He imagines what Kip Noll is doing with his new roommate. Of course we get to see what Kip is up to with his new roommate. This being a gay porn there is much oral and anal sex going on. The movie ends with the guy looking as his year book masturbating on Kip Noll's photograph and saying “you'll never know how much I love you” or something similar to that. Kind of odd. This definitely wasn't the best gay porn I have seen, but it wasn't terrible either. The main problem is that it was shot silent. In fact I think this is a loop carrier film, and that the scenes were shot and then assembled into a feature. The dialog is all dubbed over the action and none of it was recorded live. The guys were okay looking, but overall this one is safe to skip, unless you are a fan of all things from the classic era. I will say that VCA did a good job on the DVD quality, but sadly that can't make a not so great movie into a great one. Anyone have any information on any of the actors in this film, or any knowledge of the production? I must say my knowledge of gay porn is not what it should be, I have tried to see the most acclaimed gay porn films, but this one is one that caught my attention and I decided to give it a viewing.

Dawna The Dead (2008)

I watched this interesting horror/porn hybrid film a few days ago, and thought it was a pretty successful attempt at a horror oriented porn movie. The movie begins with two young women heading to a graveyard at night. It seems Dawna likes to go and masturbate on the grave of her dead boyfriend. Her friend is just going along for moral support, I guess. Well when they get there they end up using a Ouija board, and find out the Devil is present. This is where things get weird. Dawna goes and masturbates on her boyfriends grave, and her sexual secretions drip on the grave and bring the dead back to life! The makers of this movie did a good job with costumes and makeup and it’s pretty creepy seeing the dead climb out of their graves. Now the dead rape the two women. Of course they don’t seem particularly distressed, well maybe at first, but pretty soon they seem to be somewhat into it. There is this guy who is supposed to meet the girls at the graveyard, well he ends up there, but instead of meeting the girls, he has sex with two undead girls. I won’t spoil all the surprises, but thing are pretty wild in this movie. Lots of gory sex, with penises bitten off, intestines eaten, zombies ejaculating blood, along with semen. If you like horror oriented porn, I highly recommend this one, otherwise this movie will probably be a turn off to most porn viewers who don’t like blood and guts along with their sex. The women are all nice looking, even the zombie ones, but you must remember this isn’t a conventional porn film, and I don’t think its target audience might be horror fans rather than porn fans.

A Sad Day For Classic Porn Fans

It is a very sad day today, as John Leslie, one of the true legends of porn has died.  John Leslie is my favorite male actor of all time following Jamie Gillis.  One of my favorite movies, The Ecstasy Girls, from 1979 stars both men.  I was shocked to hear that John Leslie had died, it was out of the blue, not something that was expected at all.  In addition to being the legendary performer in front of the camera, he is also considered one of the best directors of the past 25 years.  The list of films he starred in and directed is too large to post here, but he always delivered both sexually and acting wise when he was called upon and given a role in a film. 

Angel Puss (1988)

Angel Puss, directed by Alex De Renzy, is a pretty decent film from the end of the golden age, or possibly after the golden age according to many porn fans.  Alex De Renzy was one of the pioneers of porn and this film isn’t his best, but it’s far from a bad film.  The story is pretty simple.  Joey Silvera is in the hospital for a case of poison oak on his hands.  Both hands are bandaged, but he’s dying to cum, but he’s unable to touch himself because of the bandages.  A candy striper, played by the lovely Renee Morgan, comes by and he asks her to give him a blowjob.  Being the dedicated health care professional she is, she can’t neglect this need of his.  While she’s giving him oral sex he fantasizes about four women and two guys having sex.  He is interrupted when in comes head nurse Shanna McCullough.  She tells the candy striper to look away while she herself tries to help Joey Silvera out.  She attempts to give him a hand job, and Joey drifts back off into dreamland, and he fantasizes about four women having a lesbian orgy.  This scene is pretty well done.  Alex De Renzy seemed to like to put an orgy into every movie he made, and he was good at filming them.  Before Joey can cum though he and Shanna McCullough are interrupted by the head doctor played by Tom Byron.  The doctors take the nurse away and leave Joey alone with the candy striper, she attempts again to give him a blowjob, but she realizes she has to make her rounds before she gets fired and she leaves Joey unsatisfied yet again.  Finally after all this an angel shows up played by Brandi Wine.  She helps Joey out and cures his poison oak, and the two of them have a nice sex scene together.  Finally Joey cums, and that’s all folks.  
Fans of late 80’s porn will enjoy this one, and although not Alex De Renzy’s best it’s still worth seeing.  He never made a bad film, just some that were better than others.  This one is solid, if not extraordinary. 

Love & Marriage (2010)

Love & Marriage stars Kayden Kross as a woman who has it all, she’s beautiful, she has a great husband who is perfect in every way, or so she thinks.  So why is she seeing a psychologist?  Well even though she seems to have the perfect life she finds herself very unhappy.  She tells her psychologist about how she just feels that her husband just doesn’t understand her.  Kayden wishes she and her husband had a relationship like her friend Lisa Ann and her husband.  Lisa Ann and her husband have Kayden and her husband over for dinner, and Lisa Ann and her beau go to the kitchen and end up having a spontaneous sex session.  This is the kind of thing you sense that Kayden wishes she had with her husband.  One day while seeing her psychologist Kayden kisses him out of the blue, this surprises him, and thing go no further.  Kayden decides to stop by her husbands work one day, only to secretly see him in a threesome with two women.  It seems he can’t help but cheat on her for some reason.  She informs him later that night that she wants a divorce, he is shocked, but then she tells him she knows what he’s doing with other women.  Kayden goes to her psychologist and confesses her love for him, at first he tries to gently reject her, but they both want each other and the movie ends with the two of them having a very nice sex scene.
This movie is in many ways a throwback to the films of the past, it has a honest to god story with acting!  The acting by the way is excellent all around.   The story is really well done as well.  The sex is much to my liking, it wasn’t too extreme, nothing gross in this movie, and everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing.  I also was pleased that the women and men didn’t go overboard with their moaning and screaming.  Everyone remained very natural in their sexual scenes, and it didn’t come across as fake or playing it up for the camera.  Overall I highly recommend this movie for fans of features.  I picked this up on Blu Ray from Digital Playground, and the quality of the disc is excellent, another winner from Digital Playground.

Shiela's Payoff (1977)

Shiela’s Payoff is a film from 1977 starring Mimi Morgan as the main character.  The movie begins with her having sex with a guy.  After they are finished with sex, she tells him about her life and how she ended up here with him in bed.  It seems her first boyfriend, played by Paul Thomas, got into debt with loan sharks.  He owed them $52,000 and they decide to kill him, right in front of Mimi!  Mimi though they decide to fuck, rather than kill, and they make her work off the $52,000 debt by being a prostitute.  So far the movie is pretty good, even if it is very low budget.  Then we get to see her and the other prostitutes servicing their clients.  There is a very attractive black woman in one of these scenes.  The movie then goes back to Mimi in bed with the man she has been telling her story to.  I won’t spoil all the surprises for you, but you’ll probably be surprised by the outcome.  This movie had two anal sex scenes, one of which was with the beautiful star Mimi Morgan.  The people all seemed to be enjoying themselves, the only problem was with the camerawork.  They had too many close ups of genitals, which kind of became repetitious.  Overall though, I enjoyed this movie, and I think most fans of 70’s low budget porn will like it too.  Just don’t go into it expecting something of the quality of The Opening of Misty Beethoven.  But given the budget of Shiela’s Payoff they did a good job.  Mimi Morgan isn’t one of the most remembered actresses from the 70’s and 80’s, but she did deliver the good whenever she appeared onscreen, whether it be in this film, or her best film The Resurrection of Eve.
